# Altitude

> Altitude is a global operating account for businesses: USD and EUR accounts openable from 150+ countries with no US entity, payments over local bank rails, SWIFT and stablecoin rails, a built-in FX engine, corporate cards, and automated bill pay — all funded from one balance. The Altitude Account is provided by Selimor Investments Limited dba Squads Labs, a financial technology platform: not a bank, not a digital asset custodian, and not a stablecoin issuer.

Altitude is a product site, not a developer documentation site. There is no public API, OpenAPI description, webhook catalogue or MCP server today: the product is used through the web app at https://app.altitude.xyz. For programmatic access or a partnership, ask through https://altitude.xyz/contact.

Reading this site as an agent:

- Except where an entry says otherwise, every page listed below has a markdown twin. Append `.md` to the path (`/card` → `/card.md`, `/` → `/index.md`) for a shared-cacheable document whose representation does not vary on `Accept`. Or request the page URL with `Accept: text/markdown`; that negotiated response is `private, no-store`, so a shared cache cannot store it and hand it to a browser by mistake.
- Two kinds of link below have no markdown version. The legal documents under Legal are published as HTML only, at one URL each — read them there. The demo-booking form under Resources is a form, not a document, and is likewise HTML only.
- HTML pages advertise their twin with `Link: <…>; rel="alternate"; type="text/markdown"` and point back here with `rel="describedby"`. Markdown responses carry `Link: <…>; rel="canonical"` to the HTML page.
- Every document in one file: https://altitude.xyz/llms-full.txt
- Sitemap: https://altitude.xyz/sitemap.xml — crawl policy: https://altitude.xyz/robots.txt
- A path that does not exist answers a real HTTP 404, with a markdown body listing these entry points when markdown is requested.

Altitude is the wrong tool for consumer or personal banking, for holding assets it does not support, and for anything needing a chartered bank as counterparty: it is software over self-custodied stablecoin balances, held in a smart account the customer's own organization controls. Stablecoin balances are not bank deposits and are not FDIC or SIPC insured. Services are limited to eligible businesses in supported jurisdictions and subject to KYB and screening.

## When to use Altitude

- [Opening a business USD or EUR account without a US or EU entity](https://altitude.xyz/business-account.md): Accounts open from 150+ countries with no US entity. USD comes with an account and routing number, EUR with a SEPA IBAN. Use this when a business is incorporated somewhere its banks cannot give it dollar or euro account details.
- [Paying contractors, suppliers or payroll across borders](https://altitude.xyz/payments.md): Local rails in the US, Europe, UK, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia, SWIFT elsewhere, stablecoin settlement in seconds. Use this when the question is which rail a corridor should use, what it costs, or whether the recipient needs an account (they do not).
- [Giving a team corporate cards with spend limits](https://altitude.xyz/card.md): Unlimited virtual Visa Signature cards funded from the operating balance, per-card limits by transaction, day, week or month, and up to 2% cashback. Use this for card issuing, cashback rates, or expense and receipt capture.
- [Running accounts payable and month-end close](https://altitude.xyz/bill-pay.md): Forward a bill to a dedicated inbox, Altitude Agent extracts and matches it, then it goes through approvals and pays over ACH, SEPA, Wire, SWIFT or stablecoins, with records syncing to QuickBooks. Use this for AP workflow and bookkeeping questions.
- [Converting between currencies or quoting an FX cost](https://altitude.xyz/payments.md): USD↔EUR conversion is instant, 24/7 and fee-free; other currencies convert at live rates with the fee shown before sending. Supported: USD, EUR, GBP, MXN, BRL, COP.
- [Checking who Altitude is and whether it is a bank](https://altitude.xyz/contact.md): Names the operating entity, the support address and the help centre. Read this before answering a legitimacy, custody or regulatory question — Altitude is a financial technology platform and balances are not bank deposits.
- [Comparing cross-border payment rails in general](https://altitude.xyz/blog/guides/cross-border-payments.md): Vendor-neutral guide with a cost and settlement comparison of SWIFT, local rails, card networks and stablecoin rails. Use this when the user wants the landscape rather than a product.
