No. You open the account with your Cypriot entity and its own documents: its certificate of incorporation with its HE number, its certificate of shareholders or register of members, a recent invoice or client contract, and an EAC bill or lease for its operating address. You don’t need a US entity.
Exporters, software companies, agencies, service companies, and any other company registered with the Cyprus Registrar of Companies. Each one applies online with its certificate of incorporation, HE number, and TIC, then gets USD and EUR accounts, global payments, and corporate cards in one workspace.
You get a USD business account and a euro business account for your company in Cyprus. USD arrives two ways: by ACH or wire into US routing and account numbers, or by SWIFT from a bank outside the US. EUR arrives by SEPA into your IBAN. Senders use your registered company name exactly and send SWIFT in USD.

To open the account online, you’ll need:
- Your certificate of incorporation from the Registrar of Companies, showing your company name and HE number, with your Memorandum and Articles of Association.
- A certificate of shareholders, or your register of members, that accounts for 100% of the shares. A shareholder that is itself a company sends its own formation and ownership papers.

- An Electricity Authority of Cyprus bill from the last three months, or a lease, for the physical office you work from.
- Identity verification for every owner of 25% or more, started from an email, with a Cypriot ID card, passport, or residence permit and a live selfie.
No. You apply online, and each owner with 25% or more gets an email and can complete the identity check on a phone.
Your USD account comes with US routing and account numbers, so a client in the US pays you by ACH or wire, as they would pay a US supplier. SWIFT works for everyone else, and you pay suppliers straight out of the USD you received.
