Sending 1,000 USD to MXN at today's rate.
Banks and transfer providers rarely charge the mid-market rate. Most add a markup, on top of any fee. On the same transfer, each point of markup is money the recipient never sees.

How it works
Enter an amount and choose the currencies you want to compare. The converter calculates the equivalent amount using mid-market reference rates against the US dollar. Rates between two other currencies are calculated from their respective USD rates. These are reference values, not quotes for an Altitude payment.
For AI agents
Access currency conversions and exchange rates through WebMCP or the JSON API. See the tools for AI agents page for available tools and setup instructions.
The converter uses mid-market reference exchange rates against the US dollar. For pairs that do not include USD, it calculates the rate from the two currencies’ USD rates. The displayed timestamp shows when the rate was updated.
You can calculate conversions between US dollars (USD), euros (EUR), pounds sterling (GBP), Mexican pesos (MXN), Brazilian reais (BRL), and Colombian pesos (COP).
USDC. It is converted at its 1:1 peg to the US dollar, so 1 USDC is treated as 1 USD; its market price can differ from the peg by fractions of a cent.
No. This converter provides a reference rate, not a payment quote. When you prepare a payment in Altitude, you’ll see the applicable exchange rate, fees, and amount your recipient will receive before you confirm.
