No. You open the account with your Rwandan entity and its own documents: its RDB certificate of incorporation with its company code, a register of its shareholders, an invoice, contract, or pitch deck, and a lease or utility bill for its office. You don’t need a US entity.

Exporters, tech companies, agencies, service companies, and any other company registered with RDB. Each one applies online with its RDB certificate and company code, which is also its TIN, then gets USD and EUR accounts, global payments, and corporate cards in one workspace.

You get a USD business account and a euro business account for your company in Rwanda. Every USD account you open has its own US routing and account numbers, which take ACH, ACH Same Day, and wire, plus its own SWIFT details for banks outside the US. Every EUR account has its own SEPA IBAN. Payers use your registered company name and send SWIFT payments in USD.

It’s free to open, with no setup or monthly fee. Receiving ACH, wire, SEPA, and SWIFT payments is free, and you see the cost of every payment you send before you approve it.
