What each tool does, its inputs and a request to copy: finance tools for AI agents.

The JSON endpoints under /api/tools/, the MCP server at /mcp (and the Bank & FX Tools plugin built on it) and the WebMCP tools on tool pages exist so an assistant can answer an individual’s question: convert an amount, check an IBAN, estimate cashback. They are not a data feed.

• Exchange-rate tools: 30 requests a minute and 500 a day per IP address.
• Other tools: 60 requests a minute and 2,000 a day per IP address.
• One currency pair or code per request. There are no bulk or export endpoints.

Requests over a limit get HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header.

• Reselling, redistributing or bulk-storing results, or building a product or data feed on the API.
• Getting around the limits, for example by rotating IP addresses.
• Removing or hiding the attribution returned with each result.

The tools need no account, and Altitude does not sell or share what they receive.

• What you send: the amount, currencies or code you ask about. It is used to answer that request and not stored. IBANs are checked in your browser and never sent to Altitude.
• The IP address a request comes from, used only to count requests against the limits above. The count expires within a day. Requests from an assistant such as ChatGPT come from that service’s address, not yours.
• Usage logs: which tool was called, whether it succeeded and how long it took, without the inputs. Altitude’s hosting provider also keeps standard request logs.

The site as a whole is covered by the privacy policy.

Results are indicative, provided as is, with no service level. Exchange rates are mid-market reference rates, not quotes. Bank-detail checks confirm format, not that an account exists. Altitude may change the limits, or suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms, at any time.
