Software subscriptions, cloud infrastructure, and ad campaigns are easy to leave running in the background, until a low card balance turns a routine charge into a declined payment.
We built automatic card top-ups to help prevent those interruptions. Choose a funding source, set the minimum balance that triggers a top-up and the balance you want to restore, then cap how much can move over 30 days. Once you approve the rule, Altitude handles future top-ups within those limits
Funding that follows your spending
Auto top-up setup suggests amounts based on your last 30 days of card spend, giving you a starting point informed by how your business actually uses its cards.
Choose your funding source, then set three amounts:
- Minimum balance: When your available Cards balance falls below this amount, an automatic top-up is triggered.
- Refill balance: The balance you want to restore.
- 30-day limit: The maximum amount that can be transferred automatically over the period.
Review and approve the rule through your existing approval flow. Once active, automatic top-ups run within the approved limits without a separate approval for each transfer.
You spend less time checking balances and moving funds, with clear rules governing how much can move.
Top-ups depend on available funds and your approved funding limit. If funding cannot proceed, your card admin is automatically notified.
Another lever for managing business spend
Altitude Cards help you organize spending around the way your business operates.
- Create dedicated virtual cards for subscriptions, teams, and expenses, with spending limits you set.
- Give a software subscription its own card to keep that spend separate, or create a card for a campaign with a defined budget.
- Auto top-up adds control over the shared balance supporting those cards.
Together, these controls help you manage what each card can spend and how the Cards Account gets replenished as your team adds tools, renews subscriptions, and makes everyday purchases.
